European Day of Languages events 2021

Numerous events celebrate linguistic diversity in Europe and encourage language learning

Event description

Make your voice heard – the motto of the Conference on the Future of Europe is the angle chosen by DGT for the 2021 European Day of Languages. Take part on social media and find out about the many events on offer in EU countries and online.

Join in via social media

From 16 to 26 September, DGT’s social media campaign promotes all 24 official EU languages. Based on selected words linked to the motto ‘Make your voice heard’, colourful animations and insightful posts should spark discussions, inspire people to discover the beauty of languages and encourage them to make their voices heard on Europe’s future. You can share, re-tweet or comment (using the official hashtags #EDLangs and #TheFutureIsYours).
