International Translation Day

DG SCIC is celebrating International Translation Day at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU).

Since 2006, SCIC has been cooperating in the training of Chinese-Portuguese interpreters at MPU.

On SCIC’s side, training is provided by trainers from the the Portuguese Interpretation Unit, and the project is coordinated by the Talent Development Unit.

This year, MPU is celebrating the International Day of Translation (officially celebrated on the 30th of September) on Thursday the 28th of September and SCIC, through its Talent Development Unit, was invited to make an address.

They recorded a video message on this year’s theme “Translation unveils the many faces of humanity” that will be broadcast at MPU during the celebrations taking place at the university.
