On the occasion of the anniversary of 100 years of conference interpreting, the University of Geneva (FTI) will join the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in celebrating the centenary by co-hosting an event around the theme “Looking back and looking forward!” to take stock of the most noteworthy achievements of the past. In preparation for the conference, which will take place on October 3 & 4, 2019, the FTI has made a celebratory video in which the milestones of the conference interpreting profession are highlighted, running from the Treaty of Versailles until today. We are delighted that the Knowledge Centre on Interpretation has been mentioned as the latest step along the long fascinating road that is the conference interpreting profession.
