Master’s in Intercultural Communication, Public Service Interpreting and Translation - EMT member - focuses on public service interpreting and translation from an intercultural and interlinguistic perspective. The programme, which is offered in numerous language combinations, incorporates studies in different specializations within public services, such as healthcare and law.

Master’s Degree in Intercultural Communication, Public Service Interpreting and Translation (60 ECTS). Arabic-Spanish / Chinese-Spanish / French-Spanish / English-Spanish / Romanian-Spanish / Russian-Spanish. Academic year 2019-2020 (13th edition).

This postgraduate programme approaches Public Service Interpreting and Translation from an intercultural perspective. It aims to train future professionals and specialists in the field,providing them with the theoretical knowledge and the skills, abilities and tools necessary to act as linguistic and cultural liaison between public service providers and those users who do not know or speak Spanish fluently. The Master´s Degree has a teaching team combining professional translators and interpreters and specialized professors from the University of Alcalá. Once the Master´s Degree is completed, students can choose to start their PhD in Modern Languages: Research in Language, Literature, Culture and Translation.
