Biography
Full Professor of Spanish Language and Interpretation at the Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT) of the University of Bologna at Forlì and free-lance conference interpreter. In 1987 I graduated in Conference Interpreting at the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators (SSLMIT) of the University of Trieste where I taught as Associate Professor between 1993 and 2001. In 2001 I moved to the SSLMIT of the University of Bologna at Forlì. Coordinator of the MA in Interpreting (2001-2012; 2015-) and Lecturer of Interpreting Theory and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation from Spanish into Italian. Main research activities: coordinatation of the European Parliament Interpreting Corpus (EPIC) project (https://corpora.dipintra.it), participation in the EU-funded Improving Police and Legal Interpreting (IMPLI) Project, co-coordinator of f the EU-funded Project SHIFT in Orality- Shaping the Interpreters of the Future and of Today (2015-2018) on remote interpreting (www.shiftinorality.it). Publications on: corpus-based interpreting studies, aptitude testing for interpreting, conference interpreting, liaison interpreting, contrastive linguistics, simultaneous film interpreting and remote interpreting. Member of the Board of CIUTI (Conférence Internationale Permanente d'Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes) (2018-) and of the Steering Committe of the Knowledge Centre on Interpretation of the DG-SCIC of the European Commission (2018-2020). Member of several editorial boards and international research groups.
